Trip to DC

Edit: The picture are now available at http://pictures.angrybrownguy.com.

So we got into the hotel Friday night after a not so bad drive filled with a small portion of rain where the visibility was probably negative at a point. We got here around midnight last night and didn’t do much except lounge around the room. This morning I did not see us getting up at 9 am but somehow we did and were out an hour or so later. We got to Washington DC about 11 and surprising could not find a single Dunkin Donuts here in Maryland or in DC. Go figure, we must have searched for anywhere from half an hour to an hour along our route. On the other hand, we did find a Bank of America ATM machine that lets us withdraw money in multiples of $10. I have never seen that anywhere!

We missed a majority of the Cherry Blossom Festival by the time we got there but the caught the ending starting with a Garfield float followed by some Sesame Street characters… about how that is related to Japanese culture and Cherry Blossoms… don’t ask me. That was followed with several hours of Japanese Street Festival. That went much better than I had orginally thought. There were lots of people dressed up in traditional Japanese attire and there were certainly plenty were dressed just ridiculously. There were plenty of good things to see from the various flowers and plants from Japan to several sculptures that people were carving of animals to people hosting mini demonstrations of martial arts or showing off their creativity.

Virginia Trip and a Question

Question:

Suppose your find out your very best friend killed someone (either from him/her, or you saw him/her, or whatever). Would you tell the police?

That’s a random question I’m going to ask if you read the start of the post… but if you want the story, continue reading below.

——————————————-

So I had an impromptu trip to Virginia earlier today (technically yesterday). This trip had been planned to happen almost every day over the course of the past week and it sort of just happened. Of all of the days to travel 4 hours South while West Virginia beats Duke, Kansas State falls to Wisconsin, Pittsburgh is defeated by Michigan State and Stanford and UCLA barely hold on to win their respective games against Marquette and Texas A&M. A special thanks to my official score-updater-texter-caller-person with a pink eye. Anyone who wants to update me on the games tomorrow, I’d appreciate a text every now and then.

Right now two of my cousins along with my sister and brother are randomly talking about something and what makes someone an accomplice if someone stole something or robbed a bank, I don’t really know and I’m not really paying attention.

It leads me to ask a question that a friend of mine asked the other day. Feel free to answer it in the comments. I just want to see what people would say, I’ve asked a couple of people already and the answers range from yes to no but its the reasoning that’s always intriguing.

Question:

Suppose your find out your very best friend killed someone (either from him/her, or you saw him/her, or whatever). Would you tell the police?

Updated: Fruit Chart

Slightly different than the one I posted a week or two ago. Noticeable changes include pomegranates and pineapples are much higher for me taste wise while peaches, plums, blueberries and cherries take a big dip. Strawberries, grapes and green apples certainly are quite favorable as not only do they taste good but are not very difficult.

Shadow Puppets

Raymond Crowe a shadow puppeteer from Australia was on David Letterman last week and truly puts on an amazing performance that not only blows away the audience but the host as well. Really well done, completely in sync with the music and his ability is truly remarkable. One of those must watch segments.
