Random Stats

Just some random stats as I approach lunch time on a day where I have been reading the BioCommand User Manual pretty much the entire morning.

I have had 166 total posts now, and here is the categorical breakdown so far.

ABG 13
Grab Bag 36
Math 4
Politics 41
Sports 83
Stevens 10
Video Games 5

As for tags, you can always notice the tag cloud in the right sidebar but here are some numbers on there.

Obama leads the way with 25 tags followed by my two favorite topics in the world of Clinton and Yankees with 13 each. The Giants with their remarkable Super Bowl run have a total of 12 and ESPN with 8 tags rounds off the top 5.

Interesting tags that appear in the top 40 or so are Super Tuesday with 5 (didn’t know I wrote so much about that day), Patriots and March Madness with 7 and 6 each.

Referrals regarding material from friends surprisingly enough comes out even at 4 a piece for 4 different people – Cindy, Joe, Krishna and Rusty.

Okay Lunch Time… I’m out.

New Layout

Finally got around to fixing up the header and template and by fixing I mean having Brian do it. Being able to use Adobe Photoshop would porbably be a nice skill to have in the long run but I am more than satisfied with what Brian did fixing up the header. I also want to thank Hilary Keegan for the awesome header that she designed (link to her blog in the bottom right of the side bar).

Let me know what you guys think of the blog and if there is anything to improve? Was the old one better, personally I think this one is much better and I should last me a little while with this design.

Weekend Forecast

I’m gonna head down to Washington DC for the weekend with a couple of roommates and a friend, hopefully the weather cooperates (like the 70 degrees today for the entire weekend would be nice). We’ll see how that goes. Anyways, so much going on in the world of sports. NHL Playoffs started yesterday, Masters Tournament started today and Yankees/Red Sox weekend series starts tomorrow night. Another hurdle towards the consecutive games streak comes into play tomorrow as I may be on the road during the game but I can always resort that radio although I would like the use that a little as possible.

NHL Playoffs started yesterday and from what I remember correctly my friend Rusty from High School was at the Devils/Rangers game handing out towels and whatnot to the fans in attendance. I haven’t talked to him since the game but I probably will tonight to ask him how it went. I’m sure he would have preferred a Devils victory but it’s only game 1. The Pens on the other hand looked pretty good, albeit it was against the shorthanded Senators who have really been short handed with a string of injuries and especially after their 15-2 start to the season this year. There have been rumors about the Penguins tanking their last game of the season so they secured a series with Ottawa instead of the Flyers and who knows to the truth about that statement but the Senators are really over-matched in this series.

I know some games have already been played but here are my predictions anyways. Continue reading “Weekend Forecast”

ABG Shop

Another day, another addition. Today welcomes the addition of the AngryBrownGuy Shop. So far the only items listed on there are books, but eventually I will add video games, electronics and anything else I wish to sell. I ran across a template from PHP Shopping Cart and it was pretty good. There offered a very good and customizable set of scripts that I set up my shop with. Also if there is anything you wish to sell, I will gladly put on here for you free of charge. Just provide me with an item name, condition, and list price. On a real update now, I will have my NCAA March Madness bracket up soon as well as my MLB season predictions by the end of the week. Well before Thursday for the March Madness so I guess that will be either tomorrow and Tuesday and maybe the baseball stuff I pump out by the weekend. By the way, if anyone is interested, this is the link to PHP Shopping Cart Software.
