Woot Shirts

Shirt.Woot started off with a relative bang where there was a sustained period of excellent shirts but then came the inevitable dull stretch. However, the past month or so has been rather excellent with their derby and great shirt selections.

From what I remember, I have made 5 purchases from Shirt.Woot but only 3 were for myself: Do The Math, Army In My Pocket and A Peculiar Discovery (the first row in the gallery below). I made my first purchase back on 2/22/08 which followed an additional 4 purchases in the next 8 months but the 5th only came last month with the penguins.

Even with those purchases, there were two recent shirts that I am quite disappointed I missed the opportunity to purchase at regular price (even though they are still available at a slightly higher price). Those two shouldn’t surprise anyone who knows me knows pretty well as I was a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan growing up (and still am) and have played a disturbing amount of Mario Kart with my roommates in the past year.

The two shirts are titled The Epic Begins and School in the lower part of the gallery are still available for a relatively cheap price of $15 if you are interested in buying for yourself or gifting me.

Woot T-Shirt Contest

So there is a Shirt.Woot contest that is going on until Monday about wearing a Woot Shirt in a country that is not United States and then submitting the picture. Much to my delight as I will be going to Canada on Thursday and now I will be taking my two shirts “Army In My Pocket” and “Do The Math” but I am still not sure what kind of picture to take.

Any ideas?

Anyways, here is a mini description about the contest with a link above.

You may or may not have known that our t-shirt site, Shirt.Woot, now ships to 45 countries whose residents are otherwise unable to partake of the Woot empire’s offerings. In any case, you know it now. But frankly, we worry a little about sending our “fabric children” out into the great big world. We’d feel so much better if they’d get in touch with us and let us know they’re alright. Your challenge this week:

Show us a Woot tee in its new home in one of the countries on this list.

Any Woot tee, past or present, is fair game – here’s a list, with artwork. Obviously, the funnier the situation and the connection to the country in question, the better. And we shouldn’t need to tell you this, but we will: defamatory ethnic and racial stereotypes will get you nowhere.
